Isn't it frustrating when we have multiple objects scattered in one page?

Introducing Layers. It helps you organize your page elements and arrange them without any hassle.

In this article, you will learn:

  1. What are layers?

  2. Renaming your layer

  3. Visibility of layers on your device

What are Layers?

Layers refer to the different elements that you add to the page. Every element added to a page is a layer on the page.

We have a separate palette on the page that shows all of the layers that you have added to the page.

You will be able to move layers front and back by dragging them so you can define how elements on your page should look.

Renaming your layer

To rename a layer, select the respective element which will highlight the particular layer for you. Once you hover over the layer, double-click on it, and the cursor will appear.

Rename the layer and press Enter once done.

Visibility of layer on your devices

Layers also give you the ability to hide an element if you do not wish to use it/show it on your mobile or your desktop.

For eg, if you were to hide an element on your desktop, all you have to do is click on the eye icon beside the layer and it would Hide on the desktop.

If you were to hide an element on your mobile browser, all you have to do is head to your mobile browser, click on the eye icon beside the layer and it would Hide on the mobile.

To check which of your elements are hidden or visible, head to the drop-down available at the top of the layers tab where you will find the Visible Elements and the Hidden Elements.

Upon selecting the respective option it will show you the elements that are hidden and visible under each section.

Tadaa! You’re all set with Layers.
