1. What is SSO?
Single Sign-On (SSO) allows users to access multiple applications using a single set of credentials.
Instead of managing different usernames and passwords, your team can log into Paperflite using their existing Microsoft credentials — saving time, improving security, and simplifying access management.
2. How Paperflite Enables Microsoft Azure SSO
Paperflite supports Microsoft Azure SSO through SAML 2.0, ensuring a secure and seamless authentication experience.
3. How to Set Up Microsoft Azure SSO for Your Account
Step 1: Log In to Microsoft Azure
Go to https://login.microsoftonline.com and log in with your Azure credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to Azure Active Directory
From the home screen, click on View under the Manage Azure Active Directory tab.
Step 3: Access Enterprise Applications
Inside your Default Directory, go to Enterprise Applications under the Manage section.
You’ll see all previously created applications — select the one you’ve created for Cleverstory.
(The example below is for reference purposes only.)
Step 4: Set Up Single Sign-On
Click on Set up Single Sign-On.
Choose SAML as the authentication method.
Step 5: Configure SAML Settings
1. Basic SAML Configuration
Fill in the following details:
Identifier (Entity ID): app.paperflite.com
Reply URL (Assertion Consumer Service URL): https://auth.paperflite.com/saml/SSO
Relay State (Optional): https://editor.cleverstory.io/accounts/{Your_Account_SSO_ID}
Replace {Your_Account_SSO_ID} with the value shared by your Paperflite Customer Success Manager.
2. Attributes and Claims
Click Edit, then open Attributes and Claims.
Set the Unique User Identifier (Name ID) as: user.mail
3. SAML Certificates
Download the Federation Metadata XML file from this section.
Send the XML file to your Paperflite Customer Success Manager or support@paperflite.com — we’ll enable it on the backend for your account.
Step 6: Configure Cleverstory Application
After completing the configuration, double-check that all URLs are entered correctly and match the values provided above.
Step 7: Test the Integration
Once Paperflite enables SSO for your account, click Test in Azure to verify the connection.
You should see a successful sign-in flow redirecting to Paperflite.
4. Adding Users to Your Azure Account
To ensure all Paperflite users can log in via SSO:
In Azure, open your Cleverstory application.
Go to Users and Groups on the left-hand side.
Click Add User/Group to include new users who should have access to Paperflite.
Once added, these users will be able to log in to Cleverstory using their Azure credentials.
5. Testing SSO Login Post Setup
To confirm everything is working as expected:
Go to https://myapps.microsoft.com.
Log in using a user’s Azure credentials.
Locate the Cleverstory application and click on it.
The user will be redirected directly into Cleverstory — no password required.
You’re All Set!
Microsoft Azure SSO is now successfully configured for your Cleverstory instance.
Your users can enjoy quick, secure, and password-free access to Cleverstory — every single time.
