Personalization in Cleverstory: Create Dynamic Content for Every Lead

Cleverstory now supports end-to-end personalization—making it easy to deliver tailored experiences for each lead or someone you know. Whether you're customizing a greeting, showcasing a specific offer, or adjusting messaging based on form data, the new Personalization features help you do it all directly from the editor.

Part 1: Create and Manage Variables from the Editor

You can now create and control personalization variables directly from the Cleverstory editor.

Here’s how:

  • Inside any content block (text, headline, button, etc.), start typing or select the “Insert Variable” option.

  • Add variables such as First Name, Company Name, Discount, and more.

  • All created variables will be listed in a centralized Variable Management Panel for easy access and editing.

This makes it simple to manage and reuse personalization elements across your content.

Part 2: Add Leads and Fill Variable Values

Once variables are defined, you can assign them to specific leads.

You can:

  • Add new leads or select from an existing list.

  • Fill in values for each variable (e.g., First Name = Alex, Discount = 20%).

    • Default values from form fields will be prefilled when available.

    • You can override them as needed.

  • See a full overview of variable values for each lead in one place.

This helps streamline lead management while ensuring accuracy in personalized messaging.

Part 3: Preview Personalized Content for All Leads

Before publishing, preview your content as it will appear to every individual lead.

How it works:

  • Cycle through your list of leads using the preview panel.

  • See how each personalized message renders for every recipient.

  • Ensure accuracy and context before going live.

Part 4: Share with a Live URL

Once your personalized content is ready:

  • Generate a live URL instantly.

  • Share it with your leads, stakeholders, or team.

  • The link will always show the most up-to-date version of the personalized content.

This makes testing and distribution fast and effortless.
